POCATELLO, Idaho — Portland State ran to its third consecutive Big Sky victory on Saturday.

DJ Adams (30 carries, 201 yards, two touchdowns) and quarterback Collin Ramirez (12 carries, 117 yards, two TDs) led the Vikings over Idaho State 38-31.

PSU improved to 6-4 overall, 3-3 in the conference.

ISU's fourth loss in a row dropped the Bengals to 3-7, 1-6.

Portland State totaled 395 yards on the ground, with 539 total.

"It was a great rushing effort all day, a great effort by the offensive line," Ramirez said. "We hit them early with a lot of motions, loops and slips, and the zone read game was really clicking in the first half, so we took advantage of that."

Idaho State, behind quarterback Justin Arias, had 315 passing yards and four touchdowns via the air.

PSU did not have a turnover, and David Edgerson led the defense with 10 tackles.

It was the Vikings' fourth win in a row in the series.

Portland State has two games remaining. The home finale is 1 p.m. Saturday against Sacramento State at Jeld-Wen Field. The Viks play at Eastern Washington at 2:45 p.m. on Nov. 23.

Eastern Washington took sole possession of first place in the Big Sky on Saturday, running its conference record to 6-0 with a 54-29 home win over Montana State, which is tied for second with Northern Arizona at 5-1.
