• Garyn Schlatter, Portland State senior setter, has been voted Big Sky MVP for the 2013 volleyball season by the conference coaches.

She is the fourth Viking to earn conference MVP honors and the first since Whitney Phillips in 2010.

Schlatter also is the first player in conference history to be all-conference all four years.

The former Canby High standout has 4,409 assists, 552 kills, 995 digs, and 345 blocks in her career.

Junior middle blocker Leigh-Ann Haataja of the Vikings made the all-conference second team.

PSU's Kasimira Clark, a junior, was named Libero of the Year for the second year in a row.

Clark was honorable mention all-Big Sky, along with PSU senior outside hitters Aubrey Mitchell, Jaklyn Wheeler and Kaeli Patton.

PSU plays host to the Big Sky tournament Friday and Saturday at Stott Center.
