Born in Marietta, Ga., Abdur-Rahim played in 2004-05 for the Trail Blazers. He starred for Cal, then was the No. 3 overall NBA draft pick, of the Vancouver Grizzlies, in 1996. He spent five years with Vancouver and three with the Atlanta Hawks before coming to Portland along with Dan Dickau and Theo Ratliff in a trade in which the Blazers parted ways with Rasheed Wallace and Wesley Person.

Abdur-Rahim, a 6-9 small forward who was an NBA All-Star in 2002, averaged 10.0 and 16.8 points in his two Blazer seasons.
