Blazers

Portland (19-4) hits the road for four games, starting with Philadelphia (7-17) at 5 p.m. PT (CSNNW).

Philadelphia has lost its last five outings and 13 of its last 15. The 76ers' latest defeat came Friday 108-100 at Toronto.

LaMarcus Aldridge (23.5 points, 10. 6 rebounds per game) leads the Blazers.

The Sixers are giving up 109.3 points per game, the most of any team in the NBA, and they also rank last in 3-pointers allowed (221, about 10 per game).

Winterhawks

Seattle returns the favor, coming to Memorial Coliseum to face Portland for the second night in a row. The game starts at 7 p.m.

The Thunderbirds clipped the visiting Hawks 3-2 Friday night, evening their season series at 3-3 and putting Seattle within four points of Portland in the WHL standings.

Seattle has won its last eight games.

Boys basketball

The annual Steve Halligan Tournament is at Central Catholic High. The Rams, who beat Century 73-50 on Friday night, take on Sheldon at 4 p.m.

Roosevelt plays host to McNary, 7:30 p.m.

Girls basketball

The Grant tourney continues, with Aloha, Lakeridge and Evergreen in the field. The Generals are slated to play Lakeridge at 7 p.m., with Aloha-Evergreen at 5 p.m.

College men's basketball

The Oregon Ducks come to Moda Center to play Illinois at 6 p.m. (ESPN2). How good are the Ducks? This game will help shed light on that. Illinois is 9-1 and ranks fifth in the nation in fewest points allowed (59.3 per game). Oregon is 8-0 for the first time since the Aaron Brooks/Elite Eight team of 2006-07 and is fifth in the nation in scoring (91.4). ... The Ducks are ranked 11th by the coaches and 15th in the AP poll. ... Illinois hasn't played a ranked foe this season. Its loss came at Georgia Tech 67-64 on Dec. 3. ... The Illini lead the all-time series with Oregon 4-0. The last meeting was in 2005. ... Illinois' starting lineup includes 6-11 Nnanna Egwu, who has 2.3 blocks per game.

Idaho, featuring former Jefferson High forward Stephen Madison, is at Stott Center to play Portland State at 7 p.m. PSU is 4-3 overall, 4-1 at home. Idaho is 4-6, 2-5 away. Madison, a senior, leads the Vandals with 16.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. Idaho will move from the Western Athletic Conference to the Big Sky next season.

College women's basketball

PSU goes to Matthew Knight Arena for a 2 p.m. game with the high-flying Oregon Ducks of coach Paul Westhead. Oregon is No. 2 in the nation in scoring (99.3 points per game). The Ducks have won their last three games and are 5-2 overall, 4-1 at home. PSU (2-4) has a minus-12.8 point differential, while the Ducks are plus-5.3. The Vikings won at Eugene 87-85 in two overtimes last year.

Portland goes to Fresno State for a 2 p.m. game. Both teams are 5-3. They've met only one other time — last season, when the Pilots won 76-69 at Chiles Center. … UP junior guard Kari Luttinen has scored 20 or more points in her last three games and ranks first in the West Coast Conference at the free-throw line (.895). … Fresno State is on a two-game win streak.

In a nonleague game, Concordia is at Pacific Lutheran, 6 p.m.

Warner Pacific travels to Seattle Pacific for a 7 p.m. exhibition game.
