COLLEGE HOOPS: Schimmels, Louisville win at Temple
No. 7 Louisville got 15 points from former Franklin High guard Shoni Schimmel on Wednesday and won at Temple 77-68.
The Cardinals have won seven games in a row and are 14-1. They improved to 2-0 in the American Athletic Conference.
Temple fell to 7-5, 1-1.
Schimmel was 5 of 13 from the field, 0-2 on 3-pointers and 5 of 6 at the free-throw line. She also had two rebounds, one steal, two assists and six turnovers in 34 minutes.
Jude Schimmel, her younger sister and Louisville's other starting guard, went 27 minutes and had three points, going 1 of 4 from the field, 1 of 2 on 3-pointers. She did not get to the foul line. Jude Schimmel had two rebounds, three assists, four turnovers and one steal.
