A spotty first half cost the Portland State Vikings in their 76-64 homecourt loss to Idaho State Thursday night.

The Vikings trailed 43-29 at intermission at Stott Center and fell behind by as many as 18 points in the second half before getting to within 63-48.

Idaho State responded with a 12-2 run and improved its record to 3-7 overall, 1-0 in the Big Sky.

PSU fell to 3-8, 1-1.

The Vikings had three players in double figures: Kate Lanz and Angela Misa with 19 points each and Allie Brock with 15 points.

Misa added 11 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season.

PSU was 21 of 64 from the field (32.8 percent), while the Bengals made 28 of 52 (53.8 percent).

The Vikings return to Stott Center on Saturday for a 2 p.m. conference game against Weber State. The Wildcats (4-6, 0-1) lost 78-67 Thursday at Eastern Washington.
