No. 5 Louisville prevailed 62-54 Sunday afternoon at South Florida, behind guard Shoni Schimmel's 25 points.
Schimmel scored five points in the final seven minutes, including a three-point play during an 11-1 run that gave the Cardinals control in the American Athletic Conference game.
The Cards had led by 17 points in the second half before USF rallied to get to within 49-47..
Schimmel, a senior guard from Franklin High, was 8 of 20 from the field, making 4 of 12 from beyond the arc. She also went 5 for 5 at the free-throw line and had seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and five turnovers.
Louisville improved to 16-1 overall and 4-0 in the AAC.
USF dropped to 8-8, 3-2.
Junior forward Casey Zinn scored a game-high 19 points, and Katie Anderson hit the go-ahead jumper with four seconds left, as Lewis & Clark won 63-62 at Linfield.
The Wildcats failed to get off a shot after Anderson's basket.
Zinn dropped in 5 of 6 from 3-point range.
L&C senior guard Tayler Wang added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the game's only double-double.
The game was played Sunday, after a power outage at Linfield forced postponement on Saturday.
L&C raised its season record to 7-6 and its Northwest Conference mark to 2-2.
The Wildcats fell to 5-8, 1-3.
