SCORESHEET: Chip Kelly gets an award
The Maxwell football Club has named Chip Kelly of the Philadelphia Eagles as NFL coach of the year.
Kelly, in his first year after leaving as coach of the Oregon Ducks, guided the Eagles to a 10-6 regular-season record and NFC East championship. Philadelphia had gone 4-12 the year before.
The Eagles' offense set an NFL record for the most 20-plus-yard plays (99) in a season.
