Ridnour was born on this day in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
The 6-2, 175-pounder grew up in Blaine, Wash., the son of a basketball coach, Rob Ridnour.
After winning two state titles and earning All-American honors, Ridnour set UO records for single-season assists (218) and consecutive made free throws (62), led the Ducks to the Elite Eight in 2002, averaged 19.7 points and 6.6 assists per game and was Pac-10 player of the year his junior year, before jumping to the NBA.
The Seattle SuperSonics picked him in the first round in 2003 with the 14th overall pick.
