Oregon State's slump continues with home loss to UCLA




UCLA 82, Oregon State 73, at Gill Coliseum

Oregon State lost for the fourth time in five games, as UCLA beat the Beavers 82-73 before 5,321 fans in Corvallis.

The Bruins (12-7, 3-3 Pac-12) shot 58 percent to establish a first-half lead, and then led by as many as 18 points in the second half against the Beavers (11-6, 2-4).

Isaac Hamilton scored 25 points, on 10-of-14 shooting, and fellow guard Bryce Alford added 19 points to lead the Bruins. Thomas Welsh had 10 points and 12 rebounds and Tony Parker also helped UCLA control the boards with 10 rebounds; Parker also had four blocks.

The Beavers shot .382 in the first half, and made only 12 of 24 free-throws; UCLA made 18 of 22 free throws.

Gary Payton II had 17 points and seven assists and Tre Tinkle added 15 points and eight rebounds.
