Oregon Ducks pitchers David Peterson and Kenyon Yovan have been named All-Americans by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Peterson also was selected to the Perfect Game All-America team.
Peterson was drafted in the first round, No. 20 overall, on Monday night by the New York Mets.
A junior from Denver, he went 11-4 this season with a 2.51 ERA and school-record 140 strikeouts in 140 1/3 innings. He walked 15 batters.
Yovan, a freshman from Westview High, also is a finalist for the NCBWA's Stopper of the Year award. He is one of only three true freshmen on the writers' first-team All-America list. The others are Texas A&M second baseman Braden Schewmake and Southern Miss outfielder Matt Wallner.
Yovan saved 15 games, which was tied for fourth in the nation. He had a 1.97 ERA and a 1-1 record, with 36 strikeouts and six walks in 32 innings.
