Coming home as a Duck
The University of Oregon women's soccer team will have a new player next season who is coming home.
Former Sheldon High midfielder Emma Eddy has transferred from Idaho to the U of O.
She will be a sophomore, available to play in 2017, and with three years of eligibility remaining.
Eddy was co-newcomer of the year in the Big Sky in 2016 and second-team all-conference. She started seven time and appeared in 13 games, and shared the team lead in goals with eight, all against Big Sky opponents. She also had nine assists to finish second on the Vandals with 17 points.
The 5-9 Eddy was all-state in 2015 and played ODP club soccer. And, she played for current UO assistant coach Manny Martins with the Eugene Timbers Futbol Club Roma team that won the Oregon State Cup championship in 2015.
Idaho is scheduled to play at Oregon on Sept. 8, 2017.
