by: MULTNOMAH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - Salathiel Laroy DalePolice have arrested one man as part of an investigation into a Thursday night stabbing death in Northeast Portland.

Homicide Detectives arrested 26-year-old Salathiel Laroy Dale for murder in connection with last night's stabbing.

Salathiel Laroy Dale, 26, is charged with one count of murder.

He is accused of killing Duane Bailey, 33.

Investigators determined the two men were involved in a domestic relationship. They believe that there was a disturbance between them that led to the stabbing, which occurred in the street outside a residence in the 400 block of Northeast Going Street.

According to police, at 9:12 p.m. on July 4, North Precinct officers responded to the report of the disturbance. As officers were still en route, they received updated information that someone was stabbed at the location.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and located a male adult stabbing victim. He was transported to a Portland hospital where he died from his injuries.

Officers established a neighborhood perimeter and searched for the suspect. A male adult matching the suspect's description was detained.

Homicide Detectives and Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division arrived at the scene to begin a death investigation. Northeast Going Street was blocked off from Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to 7th Avenue.
