Missing man killed in crash
An 84-year-old Portlander reported missing by his family was killed in a single-car crash in Washington state.
Ted Reich died in the crash along Interstate 5 near exit 95 on July 16. He was reported missing earlier that day.
Reich, who suffers from Alzheimer's, was last seen at home in the 4900 block of Southwest Hewett Boulevard at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Reich's wife returned home from walking their dog and discovered that Ted was missing, along with her car, a 2001 Mercedes ML320 SUV.
Reich reportedly had a prior history of wandering but had not previously left in a vehicle.
