by: CLACKAMAS COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE - Ian UngerA teen reported missing after going on a hike in the area of Ramona Falls in the Mount Hood National Forest Friday has been found uninjured and reunited with his family.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the father of 19-year-old Ian Unger Friday evening, Aug. 9. The father reported him missing during a four-day hike from Timberline Lodge to Cascade Locks on the Pacific Crest Trail.The father reported their group stopped on Friday about 1 1/2 miles from the falls when Ian left ahead of the group on the trail. The group searched all day for Ian but were unable to locate him prompting the call to authorities Friday evening.

Saturday evening, another group of hikers found Ian Unger near Cascade Locks, they contacted authorities who notified his family.

Officials say that Unger had thought he was behind his family on the trail and pushed on to the end at Cascade Locks.
