Man uses cell phone to rob Subway
A man allegedly used a cell phone to rob a Subway restaurant in Northeast Portland on Sunday morning.
According to police, at approximately 7:40 a.m. on Oct. 20, North Precinct officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Subway at 5700 N.E. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
The officers contacted the clerk who told them the suspect entered the restaurant, showed a cell phone and said it was an explosive device. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
Officers checked the area but did not find anyone matching the suspect's appearance. He is described at a black male wearing all black clothes.
