Police are investigating a Monday afternoon bank robbery in Southeast Portland.

According to police, at 3:41 p.m. on Dec. 16, East Precinct officers responded to the report of a bank robbery at the Key Bank located at 4131 Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted bank employees who said the suspect presented a demand note before obtaining an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was last seen walking southbound on 41st Avenue.

Several officers searched the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early-30s, 5'7" to 6'0" tall, medium build, short brown hair and a beard, and wearing dark clothing.
