Pedestrian hurt in Southwest Portland
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and injured in Southwest Portland on Tuesday evening.
The name and condition of the victim was not immediately released.
According to police, at 8:11 p.m. on Dec. 17, Central Precinct and Traffic Division officers responded to Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard at Lobelia Street on the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Officers and medical personnel arrived and located the victim, a 31-year-old woman, who was suffering traumatic injuries. She was transported to a Portland hospital for treatment.
The driver, a 64-year-old woman, remained at the scene and has cooperated with the investigation. She was not impaired by drugs or alcohol, police say.
Traffic investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
