Monday-night stabbing in Old Town leaves one man injured

A fight at a restaurant in Old Town resulted in a 43-year-old man getting stabbed in the face on Monday night.

Shortly before 8 p.m. on Jan. 13, Central Precinct officers responded to Katina's Deli, located at 337 Northwest 6th Avenue, on the report of three subjects fighting.

Officers arrived in the area and located a 43-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the face. Witnesses described a fight that resulted in the stabbing. Two suspects fled the scene prior to police arriving.

The victim's injury was non-life-threatening and he refused any medical attention.

The stabbing suspect is described as an African American male in his 40s, 5'10" tall, hair in cornrows, glasses, wearing a dark jacket with blue sleeves, a red & white checkered shirt, sweat pants and dark-colored shoes.

A second African American male adult was with the stabbing suspect.
