Law enforcement actively seeking suspect in Thursday homicide
Law enforcement officers are working around the clock to locate the man suspected in the homicide of a Clackamas County employee on Thursday.
Clackamas County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a 911 report that a person had been fatally shot. Upon arrival, deputies found the victim, Grady Waxenfelter, a weighmaster in the the Transportation Division of Clackamas County.
Deputies closed Highway 224 between Bakers Ferry Rd. (on the west side) and Hwy. 224 and 211 (on the east side), and also closed Amsigger Road while CRAFT (Crime Reconstruction and Forensic Team) and CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) responded.
First responders and SWAT immediately began searching for suspect Dirck Morgan White and his vehicle -- a silver four-door 2004 Mercedes 320 bearing the Washington license plate ANB7070. He is considered armed and dangerous. White is wanted on a weapons offense out of Pierce County, Washington.
Anyone spotting the suspect's vehicle should call 911 and report it as soon as possible.
