A suspect has been arrested in a Friday morning shooting in Southeast Portland that left one man wounded.
The names of the suspect and victim were not immediately released. The condition of the victim was not immediately released, either.
According to police, at 11:15 a.m. on March 7, East Precinct officers responded to the report of a disturbance at Southeast 82nd Avenue and Woodstock Boulevard.
As officers were en route to the scene, they learned that a male adult had been shot and the suspect ran away to a nearby home.
Multiple officers arrived in the area and located the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident. The suspect is also a male adult.
The victim was transported to a Portland hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say there is no ongoing risk to the public and the shooting is not gang-related.
Assault detectives and criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division responded to conduct an investigation. Southeast Woodstock Boulevard was closed from 83rd to 85th Avenues.
