Man injured in ship
A man who apparently fell and hit his head inside a ship at the shipyards was carefully moved and rushed to a Portland hospital.
The man was found two levels below the deck of the ship that was in dry dock, Portland Fire & Rescue officials said. He was laying on his back with severe head injuries.
A high-angle rope rescue was planned, but the man was trying to climb out of the ship himself. He was led to the deck, where a crane system brought him down to ground level. He was then put into the ambulance.
