Maintenance crews verified the release at about 11:15 a.m. Saturday morning in a ravine near 1400 SW Broadway Drive. Sewage is bubbling from the ground, flowing across the Marquam Trail and into a catch basin that drains to the city sewer system.

Workers posted signs at the site of the release to warn the public to avoid the area until they stop the release. The cause was not immediately announced.
