COURTESY PHOTO - Elisa SalmeronGresham police have safely found missing 9-year-old Elisa Salmeron after she was last seen at 9:30 p.m. Monday, March 13, at her home near 162nd Avenue and Burnside Street.

Police shared the good news via Twitter at 11:48 a.m. Tuesday after hours of searching.

Salmeron was seen on TriMet surveillance video at 11:30 boarding a westbound MAX train at 162nd Avenue after receiving assitance buying a ticket from a young couple, police said. All three departed the train at the 148th Avenue stop.

Police said there was no evidence of foul play, but they were concerned for her safety. Her family didn't recognize the couple.

The reason behind Salmeron's disappearance is unknown at this time, though police said she was unharmed.
