Portland police are investigating two early Thursday morning shootings that wounded two people.
Names of the victims were not immediately released.
The first shooting was reported at 1:28 a.m., Aug. 3, at Northwest Broadway and Hoyt Street. Central Precinct officers and medical personnel arrived in the area and found wounded man who was uncooperative. He was treated at a local hospital for his injuries.
Police said the shooting happened at the northeast corner of Northwest Broadway and Glisan Street. No suspect description was released.
The second shooting was reported at 2:55 a.m. in the 9100 block of Southeast Tolman Street. As East Precinct officer were responding to the scene, a person called 911 and said a man who had been wounded was being taken to a hospital in a private vehicle. Officers and medical personnel contacted the driver and victim at Southeast Stark Street and northbound Interstate 205 and transferred the victim to an ambulance.
The Gang Enforcement Team is investigating the shooting.
