Detectives say one person dead, one injured in NE Portland house
Portland homicide detectives continue to investigate the death of a 21-year-old man whose body was found Friday evening, Sept. 8, in a Northeast Portland house.
At 8:09 p.m. Friday, North Pecinct officers responded to a travel-trailer in the Fox Run Mobile Home Park at 9000 Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Several people at the mobile home park approached officers to tell them that two people inside the travel-trailer had been shot.
Police said Saturday that the death was an apparent murder-suicide involving Jeffrey Morse and a 51-year-old man, whose name has not been released. Detectives said they believe Morse shot the man inside the trailer and then shot and killed himself.
Police said the older man was being treated at a local hospital and was expected to survive his injuries.
