Person found dead on Orange Line MAX tracks
Portland police are investigating the death of a person found Friday morning on MAX tracks near Southeast 17th Avenue and McLoughlin Boulevard.
Central Precinct officers said a MAX operator reported that a deceased person was lying on the tracks at about 6:13 a.m. Dec. 1. Few details about the death have been released, but police said preliminary information indicated that two different MAX trains may be involved in the incident.
TriMet's Orange Line service is disrupted because of the investigation. Traffic near Southeast 17th Avenue and McLoughlin Boulevard also has been disrupted by the investigation.
