Weapons, ammo, handcuffs, body armor found in stolen vehicle
Police arrested the 20-year-old driver of a stolen vehicle Sunday morning and seized additional evidence, including a replica revolver, multiple knives, body armor, handcuffs, ammunition and suspected stolen mail.
Dylan L. Young was lodged in the Multnomah County jail on charges of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, unlawful entry Into a motor vehicle, attempt to elude by vehicle, attempt to elude on foot, reckless driving and being a felon in possession of body armor.
According to police, at 10:04 a.m. April 8, North Precinct officers found an occupied stolen vehicle parked in the 4800 block of Northeast 110th Avenue. As officers attempted to contact the driver, he drove away from officers in the white 2014 Audi Q5.
Officers searched for the vehicle and located it abandoned near Northeast 109th Avenue and Northeast Wygant Street. A canine team responded to the area and the suspect was located during a neighborhood search.
Officers seized the additional evidence when they inventoried the vehicle.
