Ardenwald shocked by Sunday morning shooting, seriously injuring a teenager

Portland Police reports that Central Precinct officers responded to a shooting in the area of S.E. 36th Avenue and Van Water Street. That's in the Ardenwald neighborhood just south of Johnson Creek Boulevard and east of McLoughlin; Ardenwald is split between Portland and Milwaukie, Multnomah and Clackamas Counties. The incident occurred in the northernmost part of Ardenwald.

Officers and medical personnel arrived and found the 16-year-old female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment, and is expected to survive.

Officers located a crime scene in the street at S.E. 36th Avenue and Van Water Street, where evidence was collected by investigators. Officers did not learn of any suspect information.
