Students face off against 13 other teams at Tigard High School in first competition of the season

The St. Helens High School Winter Guard earned a fourth-place title during the first competition of the season Saturday, Feb. 3, at Tigard High School. The guard was one of 14 teams in the A Class of the Northwest Association for Performing Arts to compete at the Guard Premier and Clinic in Tigard. The winter guard will compete twice more before facing off against others in the NWAPA Guard Championships in late March, including at home during the Columbia River Winter Arts Invitational on Feb. 24, which will be held at St. Helens High School.
