Lacey Updike will follow in the footsteps of her older brother Blake Updike, who played basketball for the Saints, averaging just under 10 points per game and four and a half rebounds in his second season.

The Saints softball program has been largely successful, winning three Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges championships from 2009 to 2011, with four consecutive title game appearances. They are currently tied for first place in the southern region with Clackamas at 2-0.

The womens' basketball program has struggled over the last few seasons, with their last winning year being a 2009 campeign that saw the Saints finish at 19-10, making the championship tournament for the second year in a row.

Lacey Updike averaged just over 11 points for Scappoose during her senior basketball season, led the team in three-point percentage and was second in free-throw percentage, helping the Indians to make the post season for the first time in several years.
