KORTNEY SMITH: Kortney Smith, a senior left fielder on the St. Helens softball team, went 2 for 3 at the plate, homered and scored once in her team's Monday loss against West Linn. Smith then hit two more homers against South Eugene and capped the two-day frenzy with an HR against Tualatin. Smith also had six RBIs versus South Eugene.

BROKLYNN MERCIER: Brooklynn Mercier, a senior third baseman on the St. Helens softball team, went 2 for 2 at the plate, knocked in two runs and also scored twice in her team's Monday contest against West Linn.

What's Ahead

SCAPPOOSE BASEBALL: The Scappoose baseball team plays at North Marion at 2 p.m. Saturday, then opens Cowapa League play with a game at Astoria at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

ST. HELENS BASEBALL: The St. Helens baseball team opens Northwest Oregon Conference play when it hosts Wilsonville at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

SCAPPOOSE SOFTBALL: The Scappoose softball team plays at North Marion at noon Saturday, then opens Cowapa League play with a home game at Astoria at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

ST. HELENS SOFTBALL: The St. Helens softball team opens Northwest Oregon Conference play when it hosts Wilsonville at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

SCAPPOOSE TRACK: The Scappoose track and field teams open Cowapa League action when they compete against Tillamook and Seaside at Seaside High School at 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

ST. HELENS TRACK: The St. Helens track and field teams open Northwest Oregon Conference action when they compete against Hillsboro at Hare Field at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

SCAPPOOSE BOYS GOLF: The Scappoose boys golf team opens defense of its Cowapa League title with a match against Banks at Wildwood Golf Course at 1 p.m. Monday.

ST. HELENS GIRLS GOLF: The St. Helens girls golf team kicks off Northwest Oregon Conference action with an away tournament against Parkrose at 1 p.m. Wednesday.

SCAPPOOSE GIRLS GOLF: The Scappoose girls golf team opens Cowapa League play with a tournament at Meriwether National Golf Course at noon Tuesday.
