Naomi Belov and Patti Spreen say they are no longer candidates

Two of the eleven candidates running for the Sherwood City Council have withdrawn their names from the upcoming ballot.

Both Naomi Belov and Patti Spreen told the city they wish to remove their names from the Nov. 4 election ballot. In a campaign withdrawal form, Belov listed "support for other candidates running" for her reason for not running with Spreen writing "my circumstances have changed," according to City Recorder Sylvia Murphy.

Others who are running for council seats include Dean Boswell, Bill Butterfield, Jennifer S. Harris, Daniel C. King, Jennifer Kuiper, Paul E. Lindsley, Bill G. Millington, Sally D. Robinson and Ross Schultz.

Meanwhile, Sherwood City Council members Krisanna Clark and Linda Henderson are running for mayor.

This is the largest fields of candidates running in Sherwood races since 2000.
