"The Sherwood Police Foundation was founded in an effort to strengthen and promote community support for the Sherwood Police Department and to help ensure that our officers possess the necessary tools, resources, training and programs to effectively and safely serve our community," said Laurie Holm, president and chairwoman of the foundation.

"This fundraising event will be held on an annual basis in order to help us to pursue the vision and mission statement of our organization and we hope that the residents of Sherwood will come out to support our wonderful officers."
