Fun center hearing rescheduled to Nov. 28
A planned Sherwood Planning Commission public hearing for land use application that contains a proposal for an entertainment and recreation fun center, along with adjacent retail space, has again been postponed.
The meeting, most recently scheduled for Oct. 24, is now set for Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. at Sherwood City Hall. An initial hearing was scheduled for Oct. 10.
According to city officials, the change is due to additional information staff requested regarding a submitted traffic study the project.
On tap are plans for a 92,899-square-foot fun center at what will be known as Parkway Village South. The new center, which will also contain 32,408 square feet of retail space (along with plans to build a 392-square-foot drive-thru coffee kiosk), will be located just south of the current Parkway Village at Sherwood on Langer Farms Parkway.
Langer Family LLC is the applicant for the project.
No retailers have yet been determined for the site and the fun center provider has not yet been named publicly.
