At issue is approval of a 92,899-square-foot entertainment and recreation center and 32,408 square feet of retail space.

COURTESY CITY OF SHERWOOD - A family entertainment and fun center is being proposed south of the Walmart Superstore.A planned Sherwood Planning Commission public hearing for a land-use application that contains a proposal for an entertainment and recreation fun center, along with adjacent retail space, has been postponed.

The meeting is now set for Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. at Sherwood City Hall. An initial hearing was scheduled for Oct. 10.

The change is due to additional information staff requested regarding a submitted traffic study of the project.

On tap are plans for a 92,899-square-foot fun center at what will be known as Parkway Village South.

The center, which will include 32,408 square feet of retail space (along with plans to build a 392-square-foot drive-thru coffee kiosk), will be located south of the current Parkway Village at Sherwood on Langer Farms Parkway.

Langer Family LLC is the applicant for the project.

No retailers have yet been determined for the site and the fun center provider has not yet been named publicly.
