The Sherwood Police Department reported the following activity in the month of February.

Feb. 1

Police arrested a Portland woman for violating a restraining order on the 23000 block of Southwest Richard Park Terrace.

A cashier at one of the businesses at the Sherwood Market Center made a mistake on a $1,200 transaction. The customer refused to help correct it.

Feb. 2

A woman reported her driver's license missing after she accidentally dropped it while walking her dog near the 21000 block of Southwest Roellich Avenue.

Feb. 3

Police recovered a stolen vehicle in the Chevron gas station parking lot on Southwest Pacific Highway. Police later arrested a suspect and charged him with possession of a stolen vehicle, unlawful use of a vehicle and seven counts of identity theft.

A woman was arrested and charged with third-degree assault after hitting her husband with a car on the 20000 block of Southwest Wildrose Place.

A man reported that gas had been stolen from his U-Haul trucks near the 13000 block of Southwest Tualatin Sherwood Road.

A woman was cited with second-degree theft at Walmart.

Feb. 4

Police received a call about harassment at the 20000 block of Southwest Roy Rogers Road. The officer determined that it was a domestic disturbance, and did not file any charges.

Feb. 5

Police arrested a woman for a DUII in the Safeway parking lot.

Police referred a case at the 17000 block of Southwest Mandel Lane to the Department of Human Services.

Feb. 6

Police responded to a missing person report, and later found the person in a hospital emergency room. Police reported the incident to Washington County Mental Health.

A woman at the 16000 block of Southwest Gleneagle Drive reported that an unknown man was harassing her over the phone.

Police found drug paraphernalia in a gold Acura in the Shari's parking lot. No charges were filed.

Feb. 7

Police responded to a domestic verbal disturbance at the 16000 block of Southwest Hawk Court. No charges were filed.

A hit and run occurred at Southwest Pacific Highway and Southwest Tualatin Sherwood Road.

A woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant, and police found a small amount of meth in her possession, at the 21000 block of Southwest Sherwood Boulevard.

Feb. 8

A hit and run occurred at Southwest Pacific Highway and Southwest Elwert Road.

Feb. 9

Three people attempted to shoplift $741 worth of merchandise from Target. They were caught before leaving the store and fled the scene without the merchandise.

Feb. 11

Someone stole $300 worth of consumable goods from Target.

Feb. 12

A man driving a semi-truck had the trailer get caught in a power line at Southwest Elwert Road and Southwest Edy Road. The trailer stayed caught as the man continued down the road, and he ended up bringing down an entire PGE power pole.

Street sweepers got into a verbal confrontation with a homeless man, regarding the homeless man's refusal to remove his property from an area the sweepers were trying to clean. Neither party wished to press charges.

Feb. 13

Police responded to a domestic verbal dispute near Southwest Pine Street and Southwest 1st Street. No crimes were reported, but police advised one of the parties that she could file a restraining order through Washington County.

Feb. 14

A woman reported a hit and run near Southwest Oregon Street and Southwest Tonquin Road.

n Police responded to an unattended death call on the 23000 block of Southwest Robson Terrace. They followed-up with a death investigation.

An 18-year-old student at Sherwood High School was caught with less than an ounce of cannabis during the school day. Police issued him a citation, and the school suspended him.

Police recovered a stolen vehicle on the 14000 block of Southwest Tualatin Sherwood Road.

Police responded to a call of vehicle vandalism and criminal mischief at the 15000 block of Southwest Division Street.

Feb. 15

Police arrested a woman on the 19000 block of Southwest Cipole Road, and charged with identity theft and giving false information to a police officer.

An unknown person shot a BB gun bullet through an outside window pane at Sherwood City Hall.

Police responded to a verbal domestic disturbance at the 22000 block of Southwest Hines Place. No charges were pressed.

Police arrested a man on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant at the 21000 block of Southwest Baler Way.

Feb. 16

A person reported unwanted credit card charges on their American Express at the 23000 block of Southwest Voss Place.

A woman at the 15000 block of Southwest Willow Drive reported that her ex-boyfriend was sending her harassing text messages. The officer contacted the ex-boyfriend and advised him to stop, while the woman planned to obtain a restraining order.

Police were dispatched to Tualatin to assist with a traffic stop, and subsequently arrested a man for heroin possession.

Feb. 17

Police responded to a domestic violence report at the 22000 block of Southwest Rickard Place. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to a reported hit and run on the 21000 block of Southwest Langer Farms Parkway. There is no suspect information.

Feb. 19

Police recovered a power winch that had been reported stolen at the 23000 block of Southwest Schamburg Drive.

Police stopped a driver for failure to obey a traffic control device at Southwest Sunset Boulevard and Southwest Baker Road. The driver had two outstanding warrants out of Polk County, so police arrested her.

Feb. 20

Police arrested a man for driving with a suspended license at the 13000 block of Southwest Galbreath Drive.

Feb. 23

Police detained a woman for shoplifting at Target, then arrested her for meth possession and third-degree theft.

Police arrested a woman for driving with a suspended license at Southwest Pacific Highway and Southwest Meinecke Parkway.

A driver hit a pedestrian and a dog with their car at Southwest Meinecke Parkway and Southwest Meinecke Road; injuries were reported.

A driver in a silver Honda did not pull over when police attempted a traffic stop on the 15000 block of Southwest Tualatin Sherwood Road. The driver instead sped away.

Police responded to a reported hit and run at Southwest Baler Way and Southwest Langer Drive. No injuries were reported.

Feb. 26

Police reported a vehicle crash at Southwest Murdock Road and Southwest Willamette Street.

Feb. 27

An unknown suspect forged a $500 check at the Key Bank on Southwest Stellar Drive.

Police responded to a vehicle collision Southwest Pacific Highway and Southwest Edy Road. One of the drivers was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Marion County, so police arrested him.

Police arrested and charged a man with a misdemeanor for driving with a suspended license, following a traffic stop at Southwest Highland Drive and Southwest Columbia Street.

Someone stole about $50 worth of belongings from a home at 17000 block of Southwest Galewood Drive.

Feb. 28

Police assisted officers in Tualatin in a pursuing a man driving with a revoked license. The man eventually crashed his vehicle and was taken into custody.

Police took a report of property stolen from a vehicle at the 17000 block of Southwest Noble Fir Court.

Police arrested a woman on a felony warrant at the 17000 block of Southwest Kinglet Drive.
