Chamber CEO leaves for KGW job

After four years heading up the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce, CEO Nancy Bruton is leaving.

“This position has been one of the most rewarding, challenging, and memorable in my career history. I can say I am truly blessed to have had this opportunity,” Bruton wrote in a recent chamber newsletter. “Taking this next step to further advance my career in media is bittersweet and I will greatly miss my friends at the chamber.”

A new chamber director is expected to be announced in July.

MOD Pizza, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt added to complex

Two more tenants are expected to locate in Parkway Village at Sherwood. MOD Super Fast Pizza and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt will have spots in the complex, whose anchor store is the 150,000-square-foot Walmart.

MOD is a West Coast pizza chain founded in Seattle in 2008. Menchie’s is a San Fernando Valley, California-based self-serve frozen yogurt establishment founded in 2007.

The businesses join Chipotle Mexican Grill, Sprint, Starbucks, Dental Services, Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, the UPS Store and Vivid Nails at the complex, slated to open at the end of the summer.
