Portland-based Earth Advantage recently honored several home builders for the nonprofit group’s second-annual Green Home Builder of the Year awards.

Stone Bridge Homes NW of Lake Oswego beat out 11 other nominees for the Hall of Fame Builder award, a recognition of its leadership role in building homes with high indoor air quality, comfort, durability, water conservation, energy efficiency and responsible use of resources.

Other honorees were: New Earth Advantage Builder of the Year, to Four Square Design/Build, based in Portland; Low Income Builder of the Year, to LMC Construction of Beaverton; LEED for Homes Builder of the Year, to Jovick Construction of Ashland, Ore.; Custom Builder of the Year to Woodcraft Building of Bend, Ore.; and Volume Builder of the Year, to Noyes Development of Beaverton.

Earth Advantage is a leader in independent certification of green homes, among other specialties.
