Major office complex gets green upgrades
Lincoln Center, one of Oregons largest office complexes, has retrofitted its facilities next to Washington Square Mall to earn LEED Silver certification.
The Tigard complex of seven buildings includes 730,486 square feet of Class A office space.
Lincoln Center owner Shorenstein Properties invested in new
energy-efficient lighting, including some LEDs; efficient water fixtures; a satellite-based irrigation system to reduce water consumption; a pest-control system that reduced or eliminated use of chemicals; a comprehensive green cleaning program; diversion of construction waste from landfills into recycling facilities; automated control of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and installation of motion detectors for office lighting.
