What local officials are doing to avert dramatic climate change
The League of Women Voters of Portland hosts a panel discussion on how Portland and Multnomah County are working to reduce carbon emissions, via their joint Climate Action Plan.
The event, part of the league's Civic Education Program, takes place on Tuesday, March 13, at 7 p.m., at the Multnomah County Building, 501 S.E. Hawthorne Boulevard. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Panelists will include representatives from the city Bureau of Planning and Sustainability, the Northwest Earth Institute and local businesses.
The program will be taped by Metro East Media for rebroadcast after the program, and will be offered on the league's website, at lwvpdx.org
