Parents can order bricks in memory of lost children

The 2014 Noah’s Quest 5K, 10K Walk and Run is scheduled for June, but preparations for the memorial walkway are drawing attention now.

This year’s Noah’s Quest event marks the unveiling of the Memorial Brick Walkway at Sandy Bluff Park, 36801 Goldenrain St.

Parents can order a brick in memory or in honor of their children to be paved into the walkway, which will connect the park’s current side path to the main path around the park’s perimeter.

Noah’s Quest benefits Brief Encounters, a nonprofit group that provides support for parents whose children have died before, during or after their birth.

This year’s run will take place Saturday, June 28, at Sandy Bluff Park. Registration begins at 8 a.m., and runs will begin at 9 a.m.

Registration is $25 by Friday, June 27, or $30 the day of the race. The 1K Kiddie Run costs $5. People interested in participating can register online at
