Jay Bradshaw identified as man killed in hit-and-run crash on Highway 26
UPDATE: This story updates the name of the man who was killed in the Jan. 2 hit-and-run crash east of Sandy.
Police have identified Jay Bradshaw, 61, of Sandy as the man who was killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run on Highway 26 east of Sandy.
The preliminary investigation determined Bradshaw was walking along the highway and was struck by a passing vehicle. He was found on the shoulder of the west bound lanes of Highway 26.
Sandy Police officers responded to the area of Highway 26 and Southeast Vista Loop Drive at around 9:07 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2. A crash reconstruction team was dispatched to the scene.
Police have no vehicle description and do not know the direction of travel of the vehicle.
The Oregon State Police have been assigned as the lead agency for the investigation.
