PMG PHOTO: MILES VANCE - Beaverton senior Hunter Sweet and the Beavers jumped into the top five in the latest Class 6A boys basketball coaches poll, landing at fourth with their 19-4 overall record. While the top three teams remain unchanged in the latest Class 6A boys basketball coaches poll, Metro League-leading Beaverton made a move this week.

The Beavers, 14-1 in league play and 19-4 overall, jumped two spots to No. 4 in the latest coaches poll. That move came on the heels of the Beavers' ninth straight win, a Tuesday night rout of Century.

In the most recent poll, distributed on Tuesday, Jefferson, West Linn and Clackamas kept hold of the top three spots, with the Democrats garnering all 12 of the first-place votes cast.

Twelve coaches voted in the poll, two from each 6A league or conference.
