Police investigate incident at Bank of the West

by: SUBMITTED PHOTO - The Tualatin Police Department released this surveillance image of the man believed to have robbed Bank of the West in Tualatin Thursday morning.Tualatin police responded this morning to a robbery at Bank of the West, 7925 S.W. Nyberg St.

At around 9:20 a.m., officers arrived to investigate the theft. They attempted to locate the suspect with the help of a K-9 officer from the Sherwood Police Department.

UPDATE: Tualatin police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the robbery suspect, who reportedly carried an unidentified item meant to resemble a weapon when he demanded money.

The suspect is described as white, between 35 and 40 years old, and between 5'10” to 6’ tall, according to Tualatin Police.

Witnesses say the man had “shadowy facial hair” and that he wore a checkered plaid zip-up shirt with a light-colored hood, blue jeans, and black athletic shoes. He had on mirrored sunglasses at the time of the incident.

Authorities ask anyone with information about the suspect or the crime to call their tip-line at 503-691-0285.
