by: WCSO - The car crashed through a living room window of a second home before coming to a halt.No arrests have been made, after a 93-year-old man drove his car through two homes in Tigard on Saturday afternoon.

Washington County sheriff’s deputies were called to a mobile home park on Southwest Eldorado Drive, near King City, at about noon on reports of a motor vehicle accident. When deputies arrived, they found two homes with significant damage.

According to deputies, 93-year-old Jack O’Rourke was backing his 2012 Chevrolet Malibu out of his driveway when his shoe somehow got wedged on the gas WCSO - Fire crews investigate the damage after a car crashes through two homes near King City on Oct. 12.

The car accelerated, sending the car hurtling backward through a mobile home and crashing into the home behind it.

No one was hurt in the crash. The first home the car traveled through was vacant, but O’Rourke barely missed hitting a person inside the second home, who was sitting in a chair in the home’s living room.

The resident had left the living room to investigate the sound of the crash when O’Rourke’s car came through his living room window.

Deputies determined driver impairment was not a factor, and deputies say an arrest is unlikely.
