Tiger girls take fourth in Metro slalom race

MT. HOOD — The Tigard High School girls ski squad continued its strong season by taking fourth place in the team standings at the Metro League slalom event held Saturday's at Mt. Hood Meadows' Shooting Star Ridge.

The Tiger girls had a two-run total team time of 5 minutes, 29.79 seconds.

Marina Predovic led the way for the Tigard girls, placing eighth individually with a mark of 1:42.30.

Tigard's Avery Branen was 15th at 1:53.73, Molly Roush was 16th at 1:53.73, Megan Shaw was 23rd at 2:05.21 and Kaitlyn Worthley was 25th at 2:11.65.

Linda Miettin of Southridge was the individual winner of the girls race with a time of 1:29.10. The Jesuit girls took first place in the team standings.

On the boys side, Tigard's Corey Fusick took 13th place in the individual standings with a mark of 1:47.62. Tigard's Tayler Mills was 28th at 2:25.76.

The Tigers didn't have the required three finishers for each of the two runs to qualify for a team placing.

Valley Catholic's Ben Davidson took first place in the individual standings with a time of 1:25.75 and the Jesuit boys took first place in the team standings.
