Prouty picks up more All-American honors

Katherine Prouty, a Tigard High School graduate and a junior on the University of Wisconsin-Stout women’s gymnastics team, picked up three more All-American awards on Saturday, earning first-team honors on the vault, the uneven bars and the balance beam at the NCGA Individual Championships held at Ithica College in New York.by: UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-STOUT - KATHERINE PROUTY

Prouty placed, or tied, for fourth place in all three events, setting personal-best marks in each of those events. She had earned her first All-American award of the year the night before, when she placed second in the all-around competition.

Prouty tied the school record on the vault with a mark of 9.70. She also set a personal best on the uneven bars with a score of 9.675. Prouty also bested her balance beam score by tallying a 9.650.

Prouty had previously earned All-American honors as a freshman in the vault, and now has six total All-American awards.
