The Daimler Oregon All-Star Series, a three-game showcase series is set for June 24-25 at Oregon State University's Goss Stadium at Coleman Field. The event features many of the top graduating Class 6A and Class 5A players from around the state.
Grow and Thomas are both listed as outfielder for the North squad.
This past spring, Grow, in his first year at Sherwood, was named the Three Rivers League first-team utility player, as he shined for the Bowmen in the outfield, on the pitcher's mound and at first base. He also blasted a pair of home runs in a single game twice this season, in wins at Canby and at home against Lake Oswego.
Thomas stood out for the Tigers both as a left-handed pitcher and in center field. He was a first-team all Three Rivers League pick as an outfielder and a second-team all-league selection as a pitcher.
The North roster features top-ranked Oregon State University commit outfielder Kevin Watson, Jr. of Beaverton High School and University of Oregon commit Kolby Somers of Century High School.
The South roster includes four seniors from this year's 5A state champion, Churchill. The Lancers are the most represented program in the Oregon All-Star Series. The South also features three Corvallis area seniors, as infielder Sean Little, pitcher Eric Seever and outfielder Blaise Sims from 5A semi-finalist Crescent Valley High School were selected.
The first game of the three-game series is slated for Saturday, June 24 at OSU's Goss Stadium. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m. The series concludes with a doubleheader on Sunday, June 25 starting at 10 a.m.
