A Woodburn man has died of his injuries from a traffic crash east of Woodburn Feb. OREGON STATE POLICE - Filomeno Brito Landa's van was struck by a car that failed to stop at a stop sign on Highway 211 the evening of Feb. 13. Brito Landa was ejected from the vehicle and died Monday from his injuries.

Filomeno Brito Landa, 55, of Woodburn, was driving a 1992 Chevrolet van westbound on Highway 211 approaching the Pudding River at 7:42 p.m. Nathaniel Payne, 18, of Molalla, was driving a 1994 Nissan Sentra on Pudding River Road and failed to stop at the stop sign, crashing into the driver's side of the van. The van rolled off the highway, ejecting the driver.

Brito Landa was taken to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries Monday.

Payne was using safety restraints and had no reported injury.
